Graveside service for former Tipton resident, Joanne Brimacombe age 85, of Wichita Falls, Texas, will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 23, 2024, at the Tipton Cemetery, with Rev. Les Banks officiating.  Burial will follow under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick, Oklahoma.  Mrs. Brimacombe passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at the Advanced Rehabilitation & Healthcare of Wichita Falls.

Joanne (Cornelius) Brimacombe was born November 4, 1938, in Frederick, Oklahoma, to Sidney Ross "S.K" and Elizabeth Lou (Petty) Cornelius.  She attended Tipton Public Schools, before transferring to Wichita Falls Public School where she was a Twirler.  In 1971, she and James Robert Brimacombe were united in marriage in Wichita Falls, Texas.  He preceded her in death in 2013.  Joanne was a retail clothing bookkeeper for many years.  She enjoyed golfing, Hotter'N Hell Cycling, and participated in 5K runs.

She is survived by four children, Debbie Quintero and her husband Billy of Wichita Falls, Texas, Shelly Watkins and her husband Phillip of Newark, Texas, Bruce Brimacombe of Arizona, and Diana Blake of Georgia; one sister, Tommye Underwood of Tipton, Oklahoma; a cousin, Sue Ray of Tipton, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, S.K. and Elizabeth Cornelius, and her husband, James Robert Brimacombe.
