Celebration of Life for Joe Carl Baldwin, Sr. age 57, of Tipton, Oklahoma will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 9, 2023, at the True Life Church, 2400 Galaxy Drive, Altus, Oklahoma, with Pastor Michael Wright officiating. He passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at the Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
Joe was born on January 23, 1966, in Chillicothe, Texas to James Henry and Flora Belle (Shipman) Baldwin. He worked for the North Texas State Hospital in Vernon, Texas until a kidney, illness caused him not to be able to work anymore; in 2008, he finally received his kidney transplant.
He met and married the love of his life and soulmate, Caroline E. Baldwin on October 17, 1986. They went on to have three amazing boys. Joe C. Baldwin, Jr., Cody A. Baldwin, and James L. Baldwin.
After his retirement, he enjoyed working on cars, fishing, camping, telling jokes, playing games, and spending time with his family and friends. He never met a stranger.
Joe was a man of God and attended church faithfully in Altus, Oklahoma at True Life Church. He loved Jesus and he loved singing songs about his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He talked to everyone he knew about the love of Jesus. He loved his church family so much and prayed for them every day.
He is survived by his wife, Caroline E. Baldwin of the home; three sons, Joe Baldwin and his wife Kayla of Altus, Oklahoma, Cody Baldwin of Tipton, Oklahoma, and James Baldwin and his wife, Ashley of Altus, Oklahoma; seven grandbabies, that he absolutely adored, Landon and Chloe Baldwin of Altus, Oklahoma, Gabriella Baldwin, Declan Baldwin, and Sophia Baldwin of Tipton, Oklahoma, Matthew Rogers of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Bobby Adams of Amarillo, Texas; two sisters, Opal Freeman and her husband Booth and Lucinda Knight and her husband George all of Vernon, Texas; two brothers, Johnny Baldwin of Amarillo, Texas, and Henry Baldwin of Wichita Falls, Texas; he is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins he thought the world of.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Henry Baldwin; his mother, Flora Belle Baldwin; one sister, Dorothy Hopkins; and two brothers, Jimmy Wade and Kenneth Baldwin.
