Funeral Service for Joe Lynn Johns age 91, of Tulsa, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at the First Baptist Church, 300 East Davis Avenue, Tipton, Oklahoma, with Rev. Les Banks officiating.  Family Burial will be in the Navajo Cemetery, under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick, Oklahoma.  Mr. Johns passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Joe Lynn Johns was born December 19, 1933, in Headrick, Oklahoma to William Enoch and Lila Virginia (Dennis) Johns.  He attended Headrick Public Schools, graduating from Headrick High School in 1952, as Salutatorian of his senior class.  On September 17, 1961, he and Margaret Ann Hamilton were united in marriage in Wichita, Kansas.  Joe worked as a switchman and later brakeman for Santa Fe Railroad for many years.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tipton.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Margaret Ann Johns of the home; one son, Michael Lynn Johns of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; one brother, Bill Frederick Johns and his wife Sharon of Tipton, Oklahoma; one sister, Anita Zane Barker and her husband Duane of Tipton, Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Lila Johns; one son, Steven Lee Johns; two brothers, Glenn Ray Johns and Norman Lafayette Johns; and one sister, Nettie Francis Johns, who died at the age of six months old.
