Requiem Mass for John S. Gonzalez age 94, of Frederick will be at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at the St Helen's Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. James A. Wickersham officiating. Burial will follow with military honors in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home. Mr. Gonzalez passed away Friday, February 20, 2015, at the Lawton/Fort Sill Veteran Center. John S. Gonzalez was born March 25, 1920, in Eldorado, Oklahoma to Eusebio and Victoria (Sarrano) Gonzalez. He attended Eldorado Public School. He later served in the United States Army during World War II. After returning home from the war he was united in marriage to Sarah Delgado on April 13, 1948, in Frederick, Oklahoma. John worked as a mechanic his entire life. He was a member of St. Helen's Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Sarah Gonzalez of the home; three children, Robert D. Gonzalez and his wife Mirna of Keller, Texas, Martha J. Secrest and her husband Kevin of Haslet, Texas, and Donny Gonzalez of Frederick; four grandchildren, Ginger Dearing and her husband Jeff, Stephanie Warren and her husband Trey, Rocky Koch and Chris Vail and his wife Valerie; and nine great-grandchildren, Sarah, Keely, Whitlyn and Elle Dearing, Morgan Warren, Izzy and John Koch, and Ian and Logan Vail; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Valentine, Ben, Gordon and Vinson Gonzalez; and two sisters, Viola Gonzalez and Virginia Gomez. A rosary will be held on Monday, February 23, 2015, at 6:00 P.M., at the funeral home and will be led by his son, Robert D. Gonzalez. Jackson Funeral Home 923 W.
