Graveside service for former Tipton resident, Jose Castro Rodriguez age 90, of Fort Cobb, Oklahoma will be at 4:00 p.m., Friday, January 14, 2022, at the Tipton Cemetery with Rev. Michael Rodriguez officiating.  Inurnment will follow under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick.  Mr. Rodriguez passed away Friday, January 7, 2022, in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma.

Jose Castro Rodriguez was born January 13, 1931, in Carricitos, Texas, to Jesus and Tomasita (Castro) Rodriguez.  In 1952, he and Francisca Garcia were united in marriage in Harlingen, Texas.  Mr. Rodriguez worked as a farm laborer for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Francisca Garcia Rodriguez of Fort Cobb, Oklahoma; two sons, Elias Rodriguez and his wife Fran of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Jose Rodriguez, Jr. and his wife Vicki of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; two daughters, Elba Cotter of Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, and Eva Newton and her husband Bill of Yukon, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Tomasita Rodriguez; and a son-in-law, Steve Cotter who passed away on January 9, 2022.
