Graveside service for Jose "Joe" Shears, III age 55, of Blair, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 16, 2019, at the Altus City Cemetery with Rev. Jr. Maldonado officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Mr. Shears passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at his home in Blair.

Jose Shears, III was born June 13, 1964, in Clinton, Oklahoma to Jose and Carolina (Corona) Shears. He attended Altus Public Schools. He worked as a butcher for Quartz View Meat Company in Altus for many years. Joe loved to hunt and spend time with his hunting dogs and friends. He was a true family man; his family was his life!

He is survived by his mother, Carolina Lankford of Altus, Oklahoma; his companion, Diana Alexander of Blair, Oklahoma; one brother, Gasper Shears and his wife Filla of Altus, Oklahoma; three sisters, Janie Raper and her husband David of Red Oak, Texas, Virginia Adams of Norman, Oklahoma and Julie Hill and her husband Richard of Frederick, Oklahoma; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Shears, Sr.; one brother, Reuben Shears; and two sisters, Elsa Sanchez and Carolina Herrera.

The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home in Frederick on Saturday morning, from 9:00 a.m. till Noon.
