Graveside service for Jose Guadalupe Vasquez, age 94, of Frederick will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 15, 2021 at the Frederick Memorial Cemetery with burial to follow under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick.  Mr. Vasquez passed away at his home in Frederick on Saturday, March 13, 2021.

Jose Guadalupe Vasquez was born on December 21, 1926 in Karnes City, Texas to Pedro and Antonia (Espinosa) Vasquez.  He was united in marriage to Ruth Navaira who preceded him in death on March 9, 2014.  He loved to sing with his wife and play the guitar.  He also enjoyed whistling.   Mr. Vasquez was a member of the Temple of the Power of God Church in Frederick.

He is survived by by two sons, Pastor Pete Vasquez of Frederick and Guadalupe Gonzales and his wife Flore of Garland, Texas; four daughters, Francis Vasquez of Frederick, Oklahoma, Ruby Hernandez of Garland, Texas, Linda Flores and her husband Pete of Saches, Texas and Emma Delacruz and her husband Javier of Garland, Texas; one brother. David Vasquez and his wife Anita of Garland, Texas; thirty-six grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth; three brothers, Pedro, Louis and Taurino Vasquez; four sisters, Tilia Puebla, Bertha, Emma and Teresa Vasquez; three daughters, Irene Conteras, Trinidad Cuellar and Margaret Sanchez.
