Josefina (Manzo) Ramirez was born March 22, 1938, in Tizapan El Alto, Jalisco, Mexico to Jesus and Maria (Anguiano) Manzo. She attended school in Mexico. On October 16, 1959, she and Rodolfo Ramirez were united in marriage in Texas. She was an extremely hard and humble worker; worked many years doing strenuous fieldwork. Josephine worked as a housekeeper and did any work she could to help provide for her family. She enjoyed cleaning, cooking, reading her bible every day, spending time with her family. She spent a lot of time with her family fishing, at cookouts, shopping, and making everyone smile and laugh. She enjoyed helping everyone that she could when that individual did not even ask for help with love in her heart and a smile. She loved all her family and friends very much; she always enjoyed cooking and sharing food with anyone who was hungry, never denying anybody. Her favorite dishes to make and eat included her homemade tortillas, menudo, posole, stuffed peppers, homemade tamales, mexican rice, as well as many other salsa foods. She was very influential to others in a positive way. She loved and cared for all animals, she had many pets and loved them dearly. She had a big heart for all and loved everyone. Josephine was a member of Primera Iglesa Baptista.
