Funeral service for Joyce Lee Perkins, age 87, of Frederick will be at 1:30 p.m., Friday, June 19, 2015 at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bruce A. Perkins officiating. Private family burial will be in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Ms. Perkins passed away on Monday, June 15, 2015 at English Village Manor in Altus. Joyce Lee Perkins was born on January 26, 1928 in Frederick, Oklahoma to Merle E. and Ellen Lucille (Wilcox) Perkins. She grew up in the Weaver community west of Frederick, graduating from Weaver High School in 1945. She attended Draughon's Business College in Wichita Falls, Texas and was later employed by Prudential Insurance Company until her retirement in 1990. She enjoyed traveling and being with family. Joyce was a member of the Baptist church. She is survived by two brothers, William Albert Perkins of Wichita Falls, Texas and Roy Allen Perkins and his wife Shirley of Frederick; nieces and nephews, Kim and Scott Ferris, Russ and Kristi Perkins, Bruce and Linda Perkins and Barry Perkins and Mark Everett; great-nieces and nephews, Garrett Ferris, Scotty Ferris, Matthew Perkins, Kalyn Wilcher, Cole Perkins and Will Perkins; seven great-great-nieces and nephews; and a beloved friend, Johnnie Butcher of Bentonville, Arkansas.
