Funeral service for former Frederick resident, Joyce M. Wilburn, age 82, of Wentzville, Missouri will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Eddie Whitworth officiating. Private family burial will follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Mrs. Wilburn passed away on June 17, 2015 in Wentzville. Joyce Marie Hayes Wilburn was born on December 15, 1932 in Frederick, Oklahoma to Olan and Ruth (Johnson) Hayes. She attended IXL Elementary and then transferred to Frederick High School where she graduated in 1950. Joyce continued her education at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee. She was united in marriage to Gweneth Wilburn on May 4, 1985 in St. Louis, Missouri. He preceded her in death on April 14, 2006. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Frederick. She is survived by two sons, Scott Allen and his wife Carol of Wentzville, Missouri and Kenneth Allen of Spanish Lake, Missouri; one daughter, Trina Berry of St. Charles, Missouri; one step-son, Lee Wilburn and his wife Susan of Ardmore; one brother, Lynn Hayes of Frederick; one sister, Doris Neely of Tacoma, Washington; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
