Private Memorial Service for Judith Ann (McPherson) Solomon age 78, of Dumas, Texas, will be at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the Frederick Memorial Cemetery, 18045 CR NS 220, Frederick, Oklahoma. Mrs. Solomon passed away Thursday night, October 17, 2024, at her home in Dumas, Texas
Judith Ann McPherson was born September 5, 1946, to Joseph Jackson and Bettye Joyce (Gibbs) McPherson. She attended Frederick Public School, graduating from Frederick High School with the Class of 1964; she later attended OSU in Stillwater, Oklahoma. On September 17, 1965, she and Charles Albert "Chuck" Solomon were united in marriage in Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma. Chuck preceded her in death on April 7, 2020.
Judy worked as office manager for the family business, Millwright Fabrications and Construction Company in Dumas, Texas for many years. She was affectionately known by her grandchildren and grandchildren as "MiMi". She had been a resident of Dumas, Texas for 50 years, and will be greatly missed. Judy was creative and enjoyed painting, sewing, and crafting.
She is survived by two daughters, Gina Solomon (Mike Wilson) of Dumas, Texas, and Amy Tinney of Dumas, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Joe Jack McPherson and his wife Charlotte of Frederick, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Sabrina Miller and her husband Allen, Matthew Tinney, Kayleen Jones and her husband Kalub, Alexandria Sikham and her husband Tony, and Jacob Solomon Tarango; eight great-grandchildren, Konstantine, Wolfram, Samuel, Olivia, Jeremiah, Krizma, Emelia, and Thea; several nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Jack and Bettye Joyce McPherson, Sr.; her husband Charles Albert "Chuck" Solomon; and one sister and brother-in-law, Paula and Henry Owens.
