Funeral service for Judy Jeneva Rothell, age 76, of rural Frederick, Oklahoma will be Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Bible Baptist Church, Frederick, Oklahoma with Rev. Brent Morey and Bro. James Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home.  Mrs. Rothell passed away Saturday, December 31, 2022, at her home west of Frederick, Oklahoma.

Judy Jeneva (Mathews) Rothell was born December 19, 1946, in Grandfield, Oklahoma to Floyd Hogan and Lillie Lou (Giles) Mathews.  She was raised in Chattanooga, Oklahoma, and also attended school there. Judy loved playing basketball and played the position of guard. She and Raymond Charles Rothell were married August 16, 1963, in Frederick, Oklahoma. Judy worked in the Chattanooga Cafe, for Betsy Bra, Frybrandt, Gibson's, and Anthony's. She also loved babysitting. Judy's favorite job was being a homemaker. She was a faithful servant of the Lord who served by working in the nursery, helping with dinners at Tesca Baptist Church, and volunteering at Falls Creek.

She enjoyed being a Brownie Leader, canning fruits and vegetables, camping, fishing, picnics, Sunday afternoon drives, working her crossword puzzle books, and reading her Bible.   Judy always attended school activities for her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Charles "R.C." Rothell of the home; two sisters, Lela Rothell of Chattanooga, Oklahoma, a twin, Jane Loveless of Marlow, Oklahoma; one son, Jonathan Rothell and wife Christine, who was like a daughter, of Gueda Springs, Kansas; four daughters, Stephanie Ellis and husband Jeff of Frederick, Oklahoma, Renee Ballard and husband John of Frederick, Oklahoma, Sharon Jessip and husband Sean of Topeka, Kansas, and Karen Knox and husband Kevin of Altus, Oklahoma; 18 grandchildren, James Ellis and wife Jacklyn, Alia Lingle and husband Matt, David Rothell, Kayla McAfee and husband Jacob, Judy Ballard and husband Matt, Patricia Montgomery and husband Michael, Sabryn Furrh and husband Trent, Tessa Ryan and husband Revis, Skyla Guillen and husband Ivan, Cassi Janz and husband Drew, Quinton Ballard and wife Leah, Mickey Maldonado and wife Malina, Niki Maldonado, Anthony Maldonado, Jocelyn Jessip and Andrea Pantan and husband Jayson, Dessirea Craw and husband Nick, Kendra Knox and Will Matherly; 39 great-grandchildren; bonus daughter, Jessica Ingram and her husband Bill and bonus grandson, Wyatt Ingram.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Lillie Mathews; four brothers, John, Dennis, Eugene, and Robert Mathews; and two sisters, Josephine Testerman and Janelle White.

The family will receive friends and family on Wednesday evening, January 4, 2023, at Jackson Funeral Home Chapel in Frederick, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
