Funeral service for Katherine L. Cathey age 58, of Frederick will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 12, 2017, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Mitchell officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home. Ms. Cathey passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017, in Snyder, Oklahoma.

Katherine L. Cathey was born October 28, 1958, in Clinton, Oklahoma to Lee and Lorine (McDonald) Cathey. She attended Boyd High School. Katherine was a homemaker and had worked at the cotton compress in Frederick for several years.

She is survived by two daughters, Racheal Cathey of Lawton and Shirley Cathey of Frederick; one brother, Al Cathey and his wife Lisa of Frederick; two sisters, Lillie K. Cathey and Sandra McCoy both of Frederick; special niece, Loraine Bell of Frederick; two grandchildren, Zakaria Williams and Carlos Williams, Jr.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Shirley Cathey, Bertha Smith and Kathy Jean Cathey; and one brother, Charles Cathey.
