Graveside service for Ken Terry Porter, age 69, of rural Snyder, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 22, 2017, at the Deep Red Cemetery with Rev. Les Banks officiating. The burial is under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home. Mr. Porter passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at an Oklahoma City hospital.

Ken Terry Porter was born February 26, 1948, in Seiling, Oklahoma to Kenneth and Pauline (Jones) Porter. He attended Seiling Public School, graduating from Seiling High School in 1966. He later attended Oklahoma State University School of Technical Training in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He owned and operated Porter-Myers Heating & Air for many years before his retirement in 2013. He loved the outdoors while fishing, hunting and feeding his cattle. Spending time with his children and grandchildren brought him much joy.

He is survived by one son, Spencer Porter and his wife Shawn of rural Snyder, Oklahoma; two daughters, Marita Chopa of Snyder, Oklahoma and Tammy Rector and husband Jeff of Norman, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, John Ross Kimes and wife Carissa, Kristen Rector, Joshua Rector, Wyatt Johnson, Lane Chopa, Jordan Chopa, JoDee Chopa, Dalton Porter and Reagan Porter; one great grandchild, Ollie Kimes; and a special friend, Wynona Atkins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Keith Porter.
