Graveside service for former Tipton resident, Lanis Joe Stocking, age 65, of Midwest City, Oklahoma, will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 8, 2023, at the Tipton Cemetery in Tipton, Oklahoma, with Rev. Donald Altom officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Mr. Stocking passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at his home in Midwest City, Oklahoma.

Lanis Joe Stocking was born on November 4, 1957, in Altus, Oklahoma to Murray Marvin and Sandra Jo (Cranford) Stocking. He attended Tipton Public Schools graduating with the Class of 1976. Lanis was a flatbed truck driver for years. He and Lynda Cothrum were united in marriage on July 3, 1978,  in Altus, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on August 19, 2011. Lanis later married Kerry Lund in Las Vegas, Nevada. She preceded him in death on February 27, 2023.

Mr. Stocking is survived by two sons, Cody Stocking and his wife Tigist of Memphis, Tennessee, and Caleb Stocking and his wife Marci of Duncan, Oklahoma; three sisters, Marvanna Perry and her husband Ronnie of Midwest City, Oklahoma, Nancy Baker and her husband Brent of Elk City, Oklahoma, and Shannon Bartlett and her husband Nathan of Midwest City, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Jacob Stocking, Lynda Stocking, Rose Stocking, Rediete Yosepin, Brandt Stocking, and Beckham Stocking.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Sandra Stocking; and his two wives, Lynda (Cothrum) Stocking and Kerry (Lund) Stocking.
