Obituary

Funeral service for Leola Faye "Le" Maddux, age 81, of Frederick, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Art Barker officiating. Burial will follow at the Spring Hill Cemetery near Cooperton, Oklahoma. Mrs. Maddux passed away on Saturday evening, August 11, 2018 at her home in Frederick.
Leola Faye (Barker) Maddux was born on February 20, 1937 in Madill, Oklahoma to Arthur Lee and Clara Belle (Elmore) Barker. She attended Hollister Public Schools and graduated Hollister High School. She married Johnny Bob Blankinship in Frederick. To this union was born three children, Johnny Mark, Kristi Jane and James Arthur.. She had worked for Texas Instruments in Richardson, Texas. She was later married to Dale Edward Maddux on December 2, 1966 in Durant, Oklahoma. She and Dale returned to Frederick in 1976 where she worked at Prather Brown for many years. They then moved back to the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. In 2010, Le and Dale returned to Frederick to be close to family. Le enjoyed shopping, spending time at the lake and her grandchildren. Le was a member of the Choctaw Nation and was a fun, sweet lady who loved her Bible studies, music and dancing.
Le is survived by her husband Dale of the home; one daughter, Kristi McCullough and her husband Earl of Chanute, Kansas; one son, James Arthur Blankinship and his wife Carolyn of Troutville, Virginia; one step-son, Troy Maddux of Frederick; one brother, Jim Barker of Frederick; four grandchildren, Katie Chapman and her husband Chris, Micah Blankinship, Jesse Blankinship and his wife Charlie and Jeremy Besson and his wife Laura; six great-grandchildren, Aaron Blankinship, Bryan Blankinship, Klaya Blankinship, Nyla Blankinship, Josily Chapman, Carly Chapman and Tanner Thomas; and a host of nieces, nephews and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Johnny Mark Blankinship; one grandson, Zachary Williams; and two brothers, Bill and A.L. Barker.
A visitation will be on Tuesday, evening, August 14 from 5 until 7 at the funeral home.
Memorials may be to the Spring Hill Cemetery Fund in memory of Le Maddux.
