Memorial Service for Lidia G. Thrash, age 73, of Frederick, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 11, 2017, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel in Frederick, Oklahoma with Rev. Les Banks officiating.
Mrs. Thrash passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus, Oklahoma.
Lidia Gi'ovanna (Trebse) Thrash was born on March 24, 1944, in Cividale del Friuli, Italy to Giovanni' and Maria (Brai'dotti') Trebse.
She attended school in Cividale del Friuli.
She was united in marriage to Roy Lee Thrash on August 13, 1960, in Cividale del Friuli, Italy.
Lidia, or Granny like everyone knew her to be, was not only a mother and grandmother to her family, but also to her neighbors and friends.
She truly never met a stranger, and always accepted everyone into her home.
There, so many memories were made throughout the huge holiday gatherings and visits.
You never left Granny and Papa's house without a fully tummy and a million stories to cherish.
She always knew how to make you smile, whether it be her stubbornness, spunky attitude, or getting on to you for something you shouldn't have done, and oh, was she ornery.
Her and Papa both enjoyed their love for one another.
Her family would never get tired of hearing the stories of how they first fell in love back in Italy and how language barriers never held them back.
She loved her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids more than anything and would do absolutely anything for them.
Granny's perfect day would consist of a morning reminiscing with family, her dogs and ending it with a trip to the casino.
Most of all, her greatest treasure was her family and the love that they shared.
She will forever be missed but will always be with us.
We love you, Granny.
She is survived by her husband Roy Lee Thrash of the home; two sons, Roy Thrash, Jr. and his wife Tonya of Mooreland, Oklahoma and Freddie Thrash of Port
Aransas, Texas; one daughter, Patricia Buchanan and her husband Tony of Altus, Oklahoma; three sisters, Gi'ozannina Cloward of Bend, Oregon, Tina Palumbo of Trieste, Italy; and Di'ana Pakenr of Cima Sappa, Italy; ten grandchildren, Rye Wilhite, Gary Lee Thrash and his wife Kenlee, Tanner Thrash, Lindsey Hudson and her husband Jordan, Jarrod Wilhite, Matt Wilhite, Delaney Thrash, Charlee Ford and husband Jarrod, Trebse Stoup and her husband Clayton, and Vallie Thrash; two great grandchildren, Texi Thrash and Raylee Ford.
