Funeral service for former Frederick resident, Lois Fern Rogers age 80, of Altus, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 16, 2021, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Baker and Rev. Tom Peevyhouse officiating.  Burial will follow in the Tipton Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick.  Mrs. Rogers passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus, Oklahoma.

Lois Fern (Nunley) Rogers was born May 26, 1941, in Tipton, Oklahoma to Carl Earnest and Blanche (Russell) Nunley.  She attended Tipton Public Schools.  On September 10, 1958, she and Donald Lewis Rogers were united in marriage in Tipton, Oklahoma.  Lois was manager of the Kentucky Fried Chicken in Frederick for over 17 years, retiring in 1992.

Lois was an avid seamstress and an immaculate housekeeper.  Her family was her life; she was always there when they needed her.   Lois was a longtime and faithful member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Frederick.  She taught Sunday School and was head of the kitchen for many years.

She is survived by two daughters, Cindy Wofford and her husband Charles of Tipton, Oklahoma and Debra Rogers of Altus, Oklahoma;  one daughter-in-law, Kim Rogers of Lubbock, Texas; thirteen grandchildren,  Chad Wofford and his wife Anna, Melissa Lamar and her husband Jeremy, Chancie Davila and her husband Victor, Brandon Rogers and his wife Amy, Jerry Rogers, II, Justin Robbins and his wife Nikki, Krissy Rogers, Cody Rogers, Tyler Rogers, Haley Munro and her husband Brandon, Kolby Rogers, Chase Wofford and his wife Heather, and Kaylee Rogers;  twenty great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Blanche (Russell) Nunley; her stepmother, Pearl (Hoyle) Nunley; her husband, Donald Rogers who preceded her in death on October 29, 2003, two sons, Ronnie Rogers and Jerry Rogers, one brother, James Nunley, and one sister, Betty Witt.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, in memory of Lois Fern Rogers.

The family will receive friends and family on Thursday evening, July 15, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m., at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel in Frederick.
