Funeral services for Manuel Robert (Bud) Garza age 76, of Frederick, Oklahoma will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 29, 2023 at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel, 921 West Gladstone, Frederick, Oklahoma, with Daniel Davila officiating. Burial will follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home. A Rosary and visitation will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023, at 7:00 p.m., at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel.   Mr. Garza passed away Monday morning April 24, 2023, at his home in Frederick.

Manuel "Robert" Garza was born on June 15, 1946, to Manuel and Delfina (Marquez) Garza in Grandfield, Oklahoma.  He received his education at Frederick Public Schools.  On December 17, 1966, he and Maria Martinez were united in marriage in Frederick, Oklahoma.  They were married for 56 years.  He worked at Frederick Monument Company for several years before moving his family to Fort Worth, Texas where he worked for Winn-Dixie Grocery.  The family lived in Fort Worth for five years before moving back to Frederick. In Frederick, he continued to work in the retail grocery business at Greenfield's Grocery Store and OK1 in Altus, Oklahoma.  He was a member of the La Primera Baptist Church in Frederick.

Mr. Garza is survived by his wife, Maria Garza, of the home; three children, Priscilla Garza-Williamson and her husband Rodney of Lawton, Oklahoma, Manuel Garza, Jr. and companion Debra Leach of Yukon, Oklahoma and Kristie Renfro and her husband Jesse of Altus, Oklahoma; one brother, Seleztino Garza and his wife Melba of Bryan, Texas; two sisters, Wallie Flores and her husband Johnny of Frederick, Oklahoma and Eva Cervantes and her husband Gabriel of Grand Prairie, Texas; ten grandchildren;  fourteen great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Delfina Garza; one son, Robert Douglas Garza; two brothers, Tony Garza and Ricky Garza, and one sister, Gloria Garza.
