Funeral mass for Margarito Reyes, age 53, of Vernon, Texas will be at 2:30 p.m., Friday, February 8, 2019 at St. Helen Catholic Church in Frederick. Burial will follow in the Tipton Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Mr. Reyes passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019 at United Regional in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Margarito Reyes was born on August 20, 1965 in Altus, Oklahoma to Ruben Henry and Josephina Paula (Chavez) Reyes. He attended Tipton Public Schools and graduated from Tipton High School in 1983. While in high school he was an outstanding athlete who lettered in football and baseball. He worked as a Certified Medication Aid in Berea, Ohio, Oklahoma City and then at Memorial Nursing Center in Frederick. He was a Catholic.
He is survived by his common law wife, Mary Rahe-Reyes; his mother, Josephina Paula Reyes of Tipton, Oklahoma; five daughters, Elizabeth Cardenas and husband Chris of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Jessica Reyes, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, Chelsea Hauser of Little Elm, Texas, Kimberly Santacruz and her husband Ramiro of Baltimore, Maryland and Amanda Escabedo and her husband Juan of Vernon, Texas; four sons, Mark Prince, Jr. and his wife Ashley of Graham, Texas, Chris Prince and his wife Jessica of Graham, Texas, John Bush and his wife Victoria of Hopewell, Virginia and Charles Rahe, Jr. of Vernon, Texas; one brother, Ruben Reyes, Jr. and his wife Michelle of Cleveland, Ohio; four sisters, Amalia Maldonado and her husband Leo of Altus, Oklahoma, Paula K. Espinosa and her husband Steve of Altus, Oklahoma, Judy Ann Payne and her husband Doug of Yukon of Oklahoma, Mary Annie Davis and her husband Ryan of Altus, Oklahoma; twenty grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ruben Reyes, Sr.
Rosary will be at 6:30 on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Jackson Funeral Home.
