Mrs. Jackson passed away Saturday morning, June 16, 2018, at the Glenhaven Nursing Center in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Margie Willene (Roach) Jackson was born September 20, 1935, in Lawton, Oklahoma to Dalph and Bertie (Pettijohn) Roach. She attended Cache Public School, graduating from Cache High School with the Class of 1953. On September 3, 1955, she and Howard Donivan Jackson were united in marriage at Lawton, Oklahoma. In 1957, they moved west of Blanchard to the Giles Ranch where Howard managed the ranch for over nineteen years. He later moved to the Ellis Ranch in 1976, to manage registered Limousin cattle. Margie began to be the REAL master gardener at this time. She would always raise a large garden and would fed the ranch hands. Many times, she would take the meal to the corral, so the men could eat in the shade of a tree. Other times, they gathered around her humble table and usually needed a nap in the shade of the mimosa tree before going back to work. She would always fix a large meal of fried chicken, bread and butter, fresh veggies, pie and iced tea served in coffee cans. She enjoyed garden and sharing her produce with family and friends. She was an outstanding cook. Everything was cooked with purpose, whether to nourish her family, or to gather her friends in love.

After Howard's retirement, Margie and he moved to Amber where they lived until Howard's untimely death on December 29, 2003. Margie worked as Second Deputy for the Grady County Treasurer's Office for many years. She retired in 2002. "Granny" as she was affectionately known, had a quite servant heart. She was a soft spoken and gentle lady that had an inner contentment with life.  Margie, was truly a Proverbs 31 Lady! She had much wisdom and when she spoke, people would stop and listen.  She worshiped with the Church of Christ. She taught Sunday School classes for many years. "She loved children and would help them discover Jesus through Sunday School".
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Rodney Miller of Blanchard, Oklahoma; two grandchildren that were the love of her life, Dakota Bryen and her husband Cody of Thomas, Oklahoma and Dalton Miller of Blanchard, Oklahoma; other family members and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dalph and Bertie Roach; her husband, Howard Donivan Jackson; and one sister, Pearldean Kinkade.
