Funeral service for former Davidson resident Mario Alberto Enriquez, Jr., age 50, of Altus, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Jackson Funeral Home Chapel, 921 West Gladstone, Frederick, Oklahoma, with Rev. Derek Gonzales officiating.  Burial will follow in the Davidson Cemetery with services under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home.  Mr. Enriquez passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2022, in Altus, Oklahoma.

Mario Alberto Enriquez, Jr. was born October 4, 1971, in Greeley, Colorado, to Mario Alberto Enriquez, Sr. and Mary Helen (Gonzalez) Enriquez.  He attended Davidson Public Schools, graduating from Davidson High School in 1989.  He later attended Western Oklahoma State College in Altus, Oklahoma and went on to Northeastern State University in Tahlequah on a Baseball Scholarship. Mr. Enriquez worked as a supervisor for Bar-S in Altus for 28 years.

Mario enjoyed playing baseball and softball, fishing, spending time with his family and cooking out.  He also enjoyed listening to Spanish music.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Helen Enriquez of Altus, Oklahoma; one son, Mario Enriquez, III, of Altus, Oklahoma; one brother Amos Enriquez of Davidson, Oklahoma; one sister, Sandra Palmer and her husband Samuel, of Bergman, Arkansas; one grandchild, Nadia Enriquez of Altus, Oklahoma; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mario Alberto Enriquez, Sr., his grandparents, Ben and Fay Gonzales, and Manuel and Felicitas Rodriguez; a great-great-grandmother, Everada Enriquez; and a sister-in-law, Christina Enriquez.

Visitation will be on Friday evening, March 11, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel, in Frederick, Oklahoma.
