Graveside service for Martha Tucker, age 77, of rural Frederick, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 1, 2024, at the Frederick Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Juan Vazquez officiating. Burial will follow, under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home. Mrs. Tucker passed away Saturday morning, June 29, 2024, at the Ayers Nursing Home in Snyder, Oklahoma.
Martha (Adams) Tucker was born June 25, 1947, in Gadsden, Alabama, to William Thomas and Ola (Smiley) Adams. She attended and graduated high school in Gadsden, and later attended Business College.
Martha served in the United States Air Force with the North American Aerospace Defense Command in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Later she worked as a Personnel Specialist for the United States Government. On September 20, 1985, she and Jerry Frank Tucker were united in marriage in Warner Robins, Georgia. She loved traveling, being outdoors, and enjoyed the eastern mountains, where it was so green. Martha and Jerry loved country music, they enjoyed going to Branson, Missouri for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Tucker of the home; her children, Joey Frank Tucker of Frederick, Oklahoma, Joy Kay Mills and her husband Tony of Geneva, Alabama, Stephanie Gustason and her husband Rey of Chipley, Florida, Donna Sue Caudell of Toccoa, Georgia, and Connie Lynn Hudson of Martin, Georgia; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jacky and Carla Tucker of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Jimmy and Janice Tucker of Carson City, Nevada, Linda and Allen Smith of Frederick, Oklahoma, and Thomas and Teresa Phillips of Lubbock, Texas; thirteen grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Ola Adams; one brother, Thomas C. Adams; two sisters-in-law, Kay Huffman and Jeannie Romersheuser; and one brother-in-law, Tommy Tucker.
