Obituary

Marvin Thomas "Tom" Kilburn passed away unexpectedly at his home in Frederick, Oklahoma on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at the age of 81 years, 3 months, and 2 days. Arrangements are under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick, Oklahoma.

Tom was born on January 20, 1939, in Endee, Kentucky in a log cabin.  Tom received his teaching credential from the state of California in 1977, where he taught in the public-school systems in the United States throughout the years.  Tom was chosen by the U.S. State Department in 1991 to travel to Saudi Arabia where he began an eight-year journey as a Printing Specialist, helping the Saudi's attain the knowledge needed to begin advanced offset printing in the country.  He instructed at the Vocational Training Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.  While in Saudi Arabia, Tom traveled to many locations in the Middle East, including visiting the remains of the seven churches mentioned in the Book of Revelation.  He also visited the City of Ephesus in Turkey and the Island of Cyprus.  While in Saudi Arabia, he met Carol at a bible study, who was in Saudi Arabia on contract in the medical field.  Upon returning to the United States, he and Carol were married June 7, 2000 in Clark County Nevada.  Tom and Carol moved to Frederick, Oklahoma in 2000.  Tom was later hired at Bar S in Altus, Oklahoma, as a security guard.  He continued to work there until retiring in 2017.

Tom was loved greatly by all who knew him.  He was very giving and compassionate man.  He has many family and friends not only in Oklahoma but across the world.  He loved his three cats, Carol, his children, and doing yardwork at home.  Tom studied the bible and loved the Lord with all his heart.

Tom is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Carol) Kilburn of the home; eight beloved children in seven different states; one brother; five sisters; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and one son.

As a promise to Tom, his wife Carol, and one son who previously passed on will have all their ashes buried together at the Frederick Memorial Cemetery upon Carol's passing.
