Mary Frances Calhoun's Obituary
Funeral service for Mary Frances Calhoun age 77, of Hollister, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 10, 2018, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Worden officiating.
Services are under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick.
Mrs. Calhoun passed away Thursday afternoon, November 8, 2018, at her daughter's home north of Hollister.
Mary Frances (Washburn) Calhoun was born November 13, 1940, in Frederick, Oklahoma to Leslie Jack and Lena Priscilla (Anderson) Washburn.
She attended Hollister Public School, graduating from Hollister High School in 1958.
She and Clarence Oscar Calhoun were united in marriage on May 31, 1958, in Frederick, Oklahoma.
Mr. Calhoun preceded her in death on September 26, 2010.
She worked for many years at the Tri-County Gin in Chattanooga.
She was a member of the Hollister First Baptist Church.
She is survived by five sons,
Robbie Calhoun and his fiancé Lori Harrison of Frederick, OK, Marty Calhoun and his wife Barbara of Chattanooga, OK, Jacky Calhoun and his companion Kim Pharries of Hollister, OK, Kevin Calhoun and his wife Patricia of Hollister, OK and Ricky Sherrill and his wife Tammy of Levelland, Texas;
four daughters, Rhonda Sheffield and her husband Dale of Frederick, OK, Deanna Elliott and her husband David of Devol, OK, Lisa Knox and her husband David of Grandfield, OK and Pam Schrick and her husband Rowdy of Frederick, OK; one brother, Buddy Washburn and his wife Juanita of Hollister, OK;
one brother-in-law, Donald Calhoun of Chattanooga, OK; one sister, Mary Jane Lawson of Lawton, OK; 43 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Lena Washburn; her husband, Clarence Oscar Calhoun; one daughter, Sheri Thompson; one granddaughter, and one grandson.
