Graveside service for Maxine Carpenter age 77, of Tipton, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at the Tipton Cemetery with Rev. Royce "Copper" Couch officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Mrs. Carpenter passed away Friday morning, February 24, 2017, in Tipton.

Maxine (Flajsinger) Carpenter was born May 7, 1939, to Enos and Elizabeth (Prochezka) Flajsinger. She attended Tipton Public Schools, graduating from Tipton High School in 1957. On February 5, 1960, she and Charles Carpenter were united in marriage at Vernon, Texas. He preceded her in death on March 1, 2000.

She is survived by two sons, Barry Carpenter and his wife Claire of Tipton and Terry Carpenter and his wife Danielle of Duncan; four grandchildren, Laura Deal, Mikel Carpenter, Elizabeth Carpenter and Tandy McCown; four great-grandchildren; special friends, Mary and Copper Couch; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four sisters and one brother.
