Funeral service for Michael Frank "Mike" Peet age 76, of Frederick will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday, October 17, 2016, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel in Frederick with Rev. Les Banks officiating. Burial will follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home. Mr. Peet passed away Friday, October 14, 2016, at the Ayers Nursing Home in Snyder, Oklahoma.

Michael Frank Peet was born April 26, 1940, in Hobart, Oklahoma to Lloyd Ed and Louise Anna (Davis) Peet. He attended Frederick Public School, graduating from Frederick High School in 1958. He later served in the United States Army. On June 17, 1963, he and Nita Gay Howell were united in marriage in Frederick, Oklahoma. Mike worked for Aviall Aviation for many years. He later joined his dad, Lloyd Peet in the family business, Peet's Starter & Generator Shop where he worked until his retirement in 2013. He loved gardening and growing his own plants and flowers in his greenhouse. He also enjoyed landscape painting and airbrushing. Mike was a member of the 13th and Josephine Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Nita Peet of Snyder, OK; two sons, Mark Peet of Frederick, OK and Jay Peet and his wife Amanda of Frederick, OK; one sister, Pam King and her husband Howard of Altus, OK; and a great-uncle, Jack Peet of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Louise Peet.
