Graveside service for former Tillman County resident, Mildred Leona Rathbun, age 93, of Altus will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 10, 2015 at the Grandfield Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Morgan officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Mrs. Rathbun passed away on September 8, 2015 in Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus. Mildred Leona Cummings Rathbun was born on December 31, 1921 in Eufaula, Oklahoma to William Blaine and Audrea Cummings. She attended Wagoner Public Schools. She was united in marriage to Wilford Martin Powell in 1949. He preceded her in death. She later married Charles Rathbun. He also preceded her in death. She was a homemaker. She is survived by one son, Marty Powell and his wife Rita of Frederick; one brother, Howard Cummings of Connecticut; one sister, Pat Cummings of Indiana; four grandchildren, Marty Wayne Powell, Jennifer Leona Hudson and husband Bret, Jonathan Martin Powell, Stephen Blaine Powell; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Rebecca Franks; one brother, Bill Cummings; and two sisters, Barbara Hefner and Jo Davis. Jackson Funeral Home 580-335-7447
