Memorial service for Nan Clark age 87, of Frederick, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 14, 2022, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Les Banks officiating. Burial will be in the Tipton Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home. Mrs. Clark passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022, at her home.

Elvira Nan Clark was born January 20, 1935, in Frederick, Oklahoma to Jack Lester and Ivadel (Witt) Varner. She attended Victory Consolidated #11 School east of Davidson and later transferred to Frederick High School where she graduated with the Class of 1953. Nan attended Draughon's Business College in Wichita Falls, Texas. In April of 1958, she and Dolphas Dale Clark were united in marriage in Frederick, Oklahoma. She loved all animals and would nurture any of God's creatures back to health. She owned Nans Pampered Pooch where she groomed many dogs throughout Southwest Oklahoma. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, Steve Clark and his wife Julie of Frederick, Oklahoma; one daughter, Christie George and her husband Mark of Altus, Oklahoma; one sister-in-law, Joyce Varner of Grandfield, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Cheyenne Clark, Quinton Clark, Garret George, Colby George, Trace George, Ginger Clark, and MacKenzie Trammell; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Lester and Ivadel Varner; her husband, Dolphas Dale "Doc" Clark; one son, Mike Clark; and two brothers, Jack Newton Varner and Jim Varner.
