Obituary

Funeral services for Nancy Lee Brown, age 82, of Frederick, Oklahoma, will be Sunday, February 22, 2026, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel, 921 West Gladstone, Frederick, Oklahoma.  Burial will follow in the Hackberry Flat Cemetery, South of Frederick, under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home.   Mrs. Brown passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at her home in Frederick, Oklahoma.

A Visitation will be held at Jackson Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday evening, February 21, 2026.

Nancy Lee Brown was born on July 18, 1943, in Stringtown, Oklahoma, to Albert and Nancy Ellen (Perkins) Blankenship. She grew up in Davidson, Oklahoma and attended Victory School. Nancy was united in marriage to James Ralph Miller in 1959.  During his military career they lived all over world such as Hawaii and even abroad in the Thailand's.  In March 1974, she was united in marriage to Bill Brown.  Upon returning to the Frederick area, she was a butcher at the McIntyre Meat Packing Plant. During her lifetime she also had several careers within the service industry. She was a waitress at the Big Chef and a bar maid at Cindy's Tavern. She loved to dance and cook and was famous for her pecan brittle.  She had a passion for playing games, from dominoes to scrabble and all types of board games. After retiring, she loved being involved in the lives of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Nancy is survived by her children: Joe Miller (Zenaida) of Blair, Oklahoma, Sherri Tabbytosavit (Jimmy) of Walters, Oklahoma, Shawn Brown (Shunda) of Frederick, Oklahoma, Gary Brown of San Diego, California, Sharon Walker of Frederick, Oklahoma, Carolyn Smith (Billy) of Snyder, Texas, and Terri Killian of Burkburnett, Texas; nineteen grandchildren: Hope Edwards, Melanie Miller, Zackary Miller, Whitney Miller, James Miller, Ashley Brown, Miranda Brown, Heston Brown, Jonathan Copeland, Christopher Killian, Timmy Killian, Austin Shafer (Kayla), Garrett Shafer (Jade), Dezirae Tabbytosavit, Allecia Tabbytosavit, Ariel Tabbytosavit, Ashley Tabbytosavit, Dewayne Fraley and Michelle Pierce; and thirty-six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son: Donald Ray Miller; three brothers: Jess Blankenship, Joe Blankenship, and Ray Blankenship; four sisters, Vera McIntyre, Essie "Ann" Cameron, Mary Moore and Dessie Blankenship; one granddaughter: Stacey Copeland; and two grandsons: Samuel Tabbytosavit, and Aaron Fraley; one great grandson, Zylo Kent
