Memorial service for Nicky Lyle Dysart, age 67, of Tipton, Oklahoma will be at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 24, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Tipton with Joe Waugh officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Mr. Dysart passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at a Lawton hospital.
Nicky Lyle Dysart was born on October 6, 1951, in Altus, Oklahoma to J. W. and Leta Phyllis (Newsom) Dysart. He attended Tipton Public Schools and graduated from Tipton High School in 1969. He later attended Oklahoma University in Norman, Oklahoma. On June 20, 1975 in Tipton, Oklahoma, he was united in marriage to Karen Sue Kimmel. She preceded him in death on July 1, 1999. He later married Virginia Jan Ward on December 27, 2002, in Tipton, Oklahoma. Nick farmed and ranched all his life. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed riding horses. He was looking forward to retiring and traveling. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Tipton.
He is survived by his wife Jan; his children, Justin Dysart and wife Amy of Lawton, Oklahoma, Wesley Ward and his wife Brandi of Altus, Oklahoma, Cassie Stone and her husband Charlie of Wichita Falls, Texas, Tyler Dysart and Amanda Kincaid of Marlow, Oklahoma, Lindsey Dysart of Dallas, Texas, Kayla Ward of Blair, Oklahoma and Caleb Ward and his wife Caitlyn of Tipton, Oklahoma; three sisters-in-law, Deborah Dysart of Tipton, Oklahoma, Ruth Vezina of Edmond, Oklahoma and Kathe Myers of Cincinnati, Ohio; five grandchildren, Breckyn Brewer, Parker Ward, Grant Ward, Emerson Stone and Kimber Dysart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J. W. and Phyllis Dysart; his first wife, Karen Dysart; one daughter, Jennifer Dysart; one brother, Jay Vance Dysart; his in-laws, Kenneth & Floye Kimmel and Ralph Steele.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Tipton Senior Citizens Center in memory of Nick Dysart.
