Funeral service for Patsy L. Mapp, age 92, of Chattanooga, Oklahoma will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Chattanooga with Rev. Les Banks officiating. Mrs. Mapp passed away on May 4, 2019 at the Ayers Nursing Home in Snyder, Oklahoma.
Patsy Lou (McDaniel) Mapp was born on November 29, 1926, in Jacksonville, Texas to Seward E. and Lillie Lee (Hood) McDaniel. She started school at a country school in rural Jacksonville, Texas. After moving to Oklahoma, she attended Manitou, Pleasant Valley and Frederick High School where she graduated in 1944. After high school she worked at Hullender Music Store in Frederick and then as a telephone operator. On July 20, 1946, she was united in marriage to Max A. Mapp in Oklaunion, Texas. He preceded her in death on August 29, 1998. Thirteen years and nine months after Max and Patsy had been married, they had Charlotte who was their only child.
Patsy was the most compassionate person you would ever meet. She was kind and very generous. She never wanted anyone to suffer or be in need. Patsy tried to have food at every funeral dinner and took a gift to every bridal and baby shower. She was truly a servant to people. She was the best grandmother that you could ever ask for and she lived the life of a true Christian.
She is survived by one daughter, Charlotte Seibold and her husband Stanley of Chattanooga, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Amber Crain and her husband Steven of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Angela Langston and husband Jason of Chattanooga, Oklahoma; two step-grandchildren, Chelsey Stoll and husband Phillip of Elgin, Oklahoma and Jessica Lyle and husband Chris of Elgin, Oklahoma; and eight great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, Ashlyn and Alexa Crain, Gage Lewis, Tripp Langston, Briley and Haze Stoll and Cash Lyle.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.
