Memorial Service for Patsy Ruth Smith, age 82, of Frederick, Oklahoma will be at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Les Banks officiating. Burial will be prior to the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at the Frederick Memorial Cemetery. Patsy passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019, in Frederick.

Patsy Ruth (Newman) Smith was born January 27, 1937, in Frederick, Oklahoma to Matthew "Mack" and Gladys Margaret (Spencer) Newman. She attended Frederick Public Schools, graduating from Frederick High School in 1955. Patsy's family was her life, she was a homemaker at heart and always looked well to the ways of her household. She worked for the Department of Human Services for many years. After her retirement, she was employed by the Frederick Eye Clinic for several years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and was a vital part of providing funeral meals to families that had lost loved ones.   She volunteered for the Tillman County Memorial Hospital and the Friends of the Library. Until her health would not allow, she delivered "Meals on Wheels" for the Tri-County Nutrition Program.

She is survived by her children, Stuart Smith, Jr. and his wife Janice and Jamie and Bob Reid all of Frederick, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Cody Reid and his wife Allison, Clint Reid and his wife Amy, Sarah Gunter and her husband Jordan; Abbye Ruth Reid and Karin McKinley and her husband Collin; ten great-grandchildren, Garrett Reid, Cash Reid, Avery Gunter, Scarlett Reid, Reid Gunter, Nora Kate Reid, Eli Gunter, Jace McKinley, Maisie Reid and Adelyn McKinley; one brother, Kenneth Newman and his wife Alice of Honolulu, Hawaii; two sisters, Laquita Lobaugh and her husband J.V. of Chickasha, Oklahoma and Ann Robbeloth of Yucaipa, California; a sister-in-law, Barbara Chittum of Lawton, Oklahoma; and a host of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mack and Gladys Newman; one grandson, Ben Reid; one great-grandson, Blake Reid; one brother, Paul Wayne Newman; and one sister, Betty Rhodes.
