Obituary

Funeral service for Paul Daniel Rogers age 86, of Frederick, Oklahoma, will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, October 4, 2024, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel, 921 West Gladstone Avenue, Frederick, with Rev. Les Banks officiating.  Burial will follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick.  Mr. Rogers passed away Sunday, September 29, 2024, at his home west of Frederick.

The family will receive friends and family on Thursday evening, October 3, 2024, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel, 921 West Gladstone Avenue, Frederick, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.

Paul Daniel Rogers was born March 1, 1938, in Tipton, Oklahoma to George W. and Sarah Margaret (Hicks) Rogers.  He attended Tipton Public Schools, graduating from Tipton High School in 1956.

He was united in marriage to Loretta Sue Coombs, to this union was born three children, Danny, Carla, and Angelia.  Paul later married Lola Mae Whitmore on October 5, 1980, in Frederick, Oklahoma.  She preceded him in death on January 10, 2012.   Paul owned and operated Rogers T.V. Service in Frederick for many years.  He was a longtime member of the Trinity Baptist Church.

He is survived by one son, Danny Rogers of Altus, Oklahoma; two daughters, Carla Scott of Altus, Oklahoma, and Angelia Rogers of the home; seven grandchildren, Ashton Neugebauer, Andrea Sheffield, Tiffany Pearce, Holly Scott, Beau Scott, Blake Baker, and Savannah Baker and her son Rowan of the home; twelve great-grandchildren; his former wife, Loretta Holt of Altus, Oklahoma; one sister-in-law, Diana Rogers of Tipton, Oklahoma; a special friend, Mitchell Terry who helped take care of him in the later part of his life; and a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends that loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Sarah Rogers; his wife, Lola Rogers; six brothers, Clarence, Floyd, Bobby, Freddie, Joyce, and Frankie Rogers; and four sisters, Myrtle Vaughn, Rosa Badillo, Bonnie Raider, and Nellie Mae Clark.
