Funeral service for Peggy Jean Nicks, age 80, of Frederick will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Curtis Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home. Mrs. Nicks passed away on Saturday evening, December 20, 2014 at her home in Frederick. Peggy Jean McGuire Nicks was born on July 28, 1934 in Frederick, Oklahoma to Parish Edmond and Susanna (Hall) McGuire. She attended school in Manitou and graduated from Manitou High School in 1952. She was united in marriage to Glenn Donald Nicks on June 18, 1955 in Manitou. He preceded her in death on June 26, 1997. Peggy was a homemaker and mother who loved reading, crocheting, quilting and gardening. She was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Frederick. She is survived by one son, Glenn Donald Nicks, Jr. and his wife Virginia of Watonga; two daughters, Donna Sharp of Wichita Falls, Texas and Sherril Nicks and fiancé Dennis Watson of Frederick; one grandson, Aaron Sharp of Wichita Falls, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Albert, Gilbert and Shirley McGuire; and one sister, Pauline Walker. Jackson Funeral Home 923 W.
