Celebration of Life service for Peggy Julia Wood, age 75, of Frederick, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2025, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Georgia Jackson, celebrant, officiating.

A private family burial will be at the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home.

Peggy passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025, at her home.

She was born May 29, 1950, in Concord, North Carolina, to Pink Calvin Wood and Julia (Fleming) Wood. She graduated from Dan McCarty High School, in Fort Pierce, Florida, and later attended Altus Junior College. Peggy worked in retail all her life. She operated: Yellow Daisy Florist, PJ Home Furnishings, Pinky's Liquor, and Buds N More. She enjoyed painting and reading. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Frederick, where she served as a Deaconess.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Calvin and Julia Wood; and two brothers: Rex Wood and Roy Wood.

Survivors include a son: Shawn Russell, of Sayre, Oklahoma; a daughter: Shera Pratt, of Tipton, Oklahoma; a grandson: Houston Garett Dean and his wife Kaylan, of Frederick, Oklahoma; a sister: Jean Teis, of Graham, Texas; a sister-in-law: Hana Wood, of Melledgeville, Georgia; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
