Obituary

Funeral service for former Frederick resident, Rachelle Denise Thompson, age 35, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 5, 2015 at the First Baptist Missionary Church in Frederick with Bishop R.R. Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Mrs. Thompson passed away on Friday, May 29, 2015 in an Oklahoma City hospital. Rachelle Denise Thompson was born on September 25, 1979 in Altus, Oklahoma to Charles Ray and Rita Joyce (Lax) Walker. She attended school in Frederick and graduated from Frederick High School in 1997. Rachelle had received her medical billing certificate in Oklahoma City. She was united in marriage to Cedric Dewayne Thompson in Frederick, Oklahoma. She had worked as a homecare provider for many years. Rachelle was a former Assistant Choir Director & Youth Leader at the Church of God in Christ in Frederick and the New Testament Christian Church in Kentucky. Rachelle was an avid fan of Oklahoma City Thunder basketball and Oklahoma Sooner football. She was a member of Integrity's Voice - Victory Church in Oklahoma City. Rachelle is survived by her husband, Cedric Thompson; her mother and father, Rita and Charles Walker; one daughter, Ceirra Rachae Thompson of Oklahoma City; four brothers, Jeremy Lax of Dallas, Texas, Damian Lax of Frederick, Terry Shaw of Lawton and Charles Walker, Jr. of Duncan; four sisters, Evone Gentry and her husband James of Fort Worth, Texas; Amber Lax of Oklahoma City, Kacie of Frederick; and Toshiba Myles and her husband Kevin of Oklahoma City; her in-laws, R. R. Thompson and his wife Roberta; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Darrell Sr. and Randa Thompson, Ronald Thompson, Jr., Michael Thompson, Rodney Thompson, John Thompson, Andrea Thompson, Gloria and James Rutledge, Rhonda and James Shipp, Ingrid and Michael Senter; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Timothy & Opal Lax and Rachel Jackson; one brother, Cory Lax; and her mother-in-law, Otha Mae Thompson.
