Randal Ray Hall, 85, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025, at his home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Randal is survived by his son, Michael Ray Hall, and daughter-in-law, Cara Shimkus Hall of Tulsa; grandchildren, Joseph Randal Hall and Alexander Michael Hall; and his beloved nieces, nephews, and their families. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louella Elizabeth (Stoll) Hall; his son, Mark Randall Hall; his stepfather, Rufus Sanford Gann; and his mother, Ruby (Richardson) (Hall) Gann.

Randal was born in Wapanucka, Oklahoma. He attended elementary and high school in Milburn and Wapanucka and spent three years in California when his family relocated to find employment. He met Louella in Frederick, Oklahoma, where they worked together. They were married on September 16, 1961, in the Manitou Methodist Church. They began a life together that spanned 64 years and took them to locations across the United States through Randal's career in the United States Navy and subsequently for a defense contractor.

Randal joined the United States Navy in June 1962 as a seaman recruit. The Navy provided the framework for Randal to advance his education and develop his leadership skills. He applied himself to jet engine technology and aircraft maintenance, regularly finishing at the top of his classes. He earned his high school diploma at night school, advanced through the enlisted ranks, and applied for the rank of Warrant Officer. He attended Aviation Officers Training School in Pensacola. He was assigned to Naval Air Stations in Miramar, California; North Island, California; Lemoore, California; Oak Harbor, Washington; and Kingsville, Texas. He was deployed to the Vietnam theater and the Western Pacific on board the aircraft carriers USS Hancock, USS Oriskany, USS Ranger, and USS Constellation.  After twenty years of service, Randal retired from the Navy as a Lieutenant Commander.

Shortly after retirement, Randal was recruited by Dyncorp/CSC, a defense contractor, to serve as a site director for military aviation support contracts. He would lead contract efforts in Meridian, Mississippi; Jacksonville, Florida; and finally at the Johnson Space Center/Ellington Field in Houston, Texas for NASA. This final assignment was during the height of the Space Shuttle program and was an assignment that he and Louella enjoyed immensely until his second retirement in 2004.

Randal and Louella then relocated to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and began a well-deserved period of retirement in proximity to their grandchildren and a close-knit group of neighbors. Randal cherished the time spent with Louella's siblings, nieces, nephews, and their families. When Louella's health declined, Randal selflessly dedicated himself to her care, succeeding in keeping her comfortable in their home until her passing.

Randal was a kind, happy, strong, and selfless man who demonstrated humility and compassion to his family, neighbors, shipmates, and colleagues every day of his life. He was the same person whether he was leading on the bridge of an aircraft carrier or working alongside farmhands during wheat harvest.

The family would like to thank InCare Services, LLC, and Ku'ualoha Umukoro for their selfless dedication and service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in honor of Randal Hall to Broken Arrow Neighbors at 315 West College Street, Broken Arrow, OK 74012 (https://baneighbors.net).
