Funeral service for Rita Jo Smith, age 61, of Frederick will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Lauer officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home. Mrs. Smith passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Memorial Nursing Center in Frederick. Rita Jo Davis Smith was born on December 22, 1954 in Vernon, Texas to Doyle Euland "Casey" and Betty Jo (Hendrix) Davis. She attended school in Davidson and Frederick. She had worked as a nurses' aide and was employed at Memorial Hospital in Frederick for many years. Rita was united in marriage to Tommy Smith on September 5, 1985. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church. She is survived by her husband, Tommy Smith of Frederick; one son, Billy Hine of Lawton; one daughter, Janie Dillard of Springer, Oklahoma; two brothers, Ronnie Davis and Roy Davis both of Frederick; one sister, Susie Perkins and husband Willie of Frederick; three grandchildren, Carie Olivera of Comanche, Sebastian Olivera of Ardmore and Violet Dillard of Springer.
