Funeral service for Roosevelt Woods, age 83, of Frederick, Oklahoma, will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 23, 2022, at the First Baptist Missionary Church with Pastor Al Kelly officiating.  Burial will be in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick.  Mr. Woods passed away Friday, February 17, 2023, at his home.

Roosevelt Woods was born May 12, 1939, in Clarksville, Texas to Abe and Ida (Gaffney) Woods.  In 1975, he and Bobbie Williams were united in marriage in Frederick, Oklahoma.  Mrs. Woods passed away October 29, 2009.  Roosevelt worked for Aviall for many years, later he served as a technician for Centra Leather Goods.

He was a member of the First Baptist Missionary Church where he served as Deacon. Roosevelt enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved working on old cars.

Roosevelt is survived by one daughter, LaNell Smith and her husband Patrick of Aubrey, Texas; two sons, Sterling Woods of Frederick, Oklahoma, and Shahid Shabazz of Frederick, Oklahoma; one brother, Tommy Lee Woods; two sisters, Opal Lee Woods and Arita Blue; six grandchildren, Lydia Woods, Dante Woods, Destiny Woods, Ashanti Shabazz, Amani Shabazz, and Jordan Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Abe and Ida Woods; his wife, Bobbie Woods; and several brothers and sisters.
