Funeral service for Roy Jefferson "Jeff" Peters, age 63, of Oklahoma City will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Les Banks officiating. Burial will follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Mr. Peters passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at his home in Oklahoma City.

Jeff Peters was born on May 5, 1953 to Joe Doyle and Margaret Gayle (Dickson) Peters in Frederick, Oklahoma. He attended Frederick Public School and graduated from Frederick High School in 1971. He attended Phillips University in Enid, where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing while in an exchange program in Mullsjo, Sweden. He later received a Master Degree from the University of Oklahoma in Human Relations. Jeff worked as a social worker for the Oklahoma City/County Health Department and later worked as a statistician for the Oklahoma State Department of Health. He was reared in the First Christian Church of Frederick and later joined the Episcopal church. Jeff loved music, singing, and musical theatre. He had performed in Godspell, Oliver!, and at the Lawton Community Theatre. He was a member of the Canterbury Choral Society in Oklahoma City and later the Oklahoma Master Chorale. The best memory of Jeff's life was singing with Placido Domingo as a member of the Canterbury Choral Society.

He is survived by one brother, Dale Peters and his wife Connie of Oklahoma City; one niece, Elizabeth Davidson & her husband Alan of Muskogee; one nephew, Andrew Peters of Norman; several cousins, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
