Shelly Delana Jackson's Obituary
Funeral service for Shelly Delana Jackson, age 65, of Harrold, Texas will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 17, 2016 at Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Reyes officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home. Shelly passed away in Davidson, Oklahoma on Tuesday, June 14, 2016.
Shelly was born on January 18, 1951 to Homer and Cindy (Schnaples) Parrack in Walters, Oklahoma. She attended Burkburnett High School. Shelly was united in marriage to Richard "Rick" Jackson on November 22, 1991 in Vernon, Texas. Rick preceded her in death December 16, 2012. Shelly worked as an Administrative Assistant for North Texas State Hospital in Vernon, Texas for many years. She retired in April 2009. Shelly's family was her life. She enjoyed being on the river, loved music and was always fun. She was an outspoken person, with a great sense of humor. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Davidson.
She is survived by her mother, Cindy Masters of Electra, Texas; one son, Mark Monson and his wife Karla of Davidson, Oklahoma; one daughter Melissa Monson and Raetzsch Shaw both of Davidson, Oklahoma; one step-son Jason Jackson of Maitland, Missouri; two sisters, Josharon Postelwait and husband Lynn of Electra, Texas and Lushane McCarty of Blueridge, Texas; two grandchildren Kyle and Caul Monson both of Davidson, Oklahoma; two step-grandchildren Hunter & Gage Jackson of Maitland, Missouri; and her mother-in-law, Darlene Jackson of Maryville, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Jackson; and her father, Homer Parrack.
Shelly desired memorial contributions be made to Dr. Karen Fink, Neuro-Oncology Associate at Baylor Cancer Center.
