Funeral service for former Tipton resident, Shirlie Ann Pesch age 76, of Denison, Texas will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, June 1, 2018, at the Tipton First Baptist Church with Rev. Royce Couch officiating. Burial will follow in the Tipton Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Mrs. Pesch passed away Monday, May 28, 2018, in Denison, Texas.
Shirlie Ann (Hoyle) Pesch was born March 23, 1942, at Tipton, Oklahoma to Earl and Myrtle Beatrice (Rogers) Hoyle. She attended Tipton Public Schools, graduating from Tipton High School. On September 3, 1965, she and Harold Lane Pesch were united in marriage at Tipton, Oklahoma. Mr. Pesch preceded her in death on February 27, 2014. She worked as secretary for Tipton High School for many years. Shirlie later worked as a teacher's aide for the Manitou Juvenile Center and then as a transport officer for the Tillman County Sheriff Department. She served as a E.M.T. for Tillman County Ambulance Service for several years. Shirlie was an excellent seamstress; she loved fishing and was an outstanding cook. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Tipton and Bethel Baptist Church. After moving to Denison, she changed her membership to the First Baptist Church of Denison, Texas.
She is survived by three sons, David Pesch of Graham, Texas, Tim Pesch of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Joey Pesch and his wife Lori of Bokchito, Oklahoma; two step-sons, Ron Pesch and his wife Andrea of Apple Valley, California and John Pesch and his wife Jeanine of Victorville, California; one sister, Judy Sholl and her husband Jim of Frederick, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a niece, nephew, other family members and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold Lane Pesch; and a step-son, Paul Pesch.
