Funeral service for former Frederick resident, Stephen C. Longacre, age 68, of Snohomish, Washington will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 3, 2015 at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with John Clifford Taylor and David Barnett officiating. Burial will follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Mr. Longacre passed away on Monday, March 30, 2015 in Snohomish, Washington. Stephen Clark Longacre was born on October 22, 1946 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to Rodney Vance and Elnora (Brown) Longacre. Stephen moved to Frederick with his family as an infant and later attended Frederick Public Schools. He the served in the United States Army during the Korean War where he was stationed in the Demilitarized Zone. After returning home, he farmed in the Tillman County area for many years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Frederick. He is survived by one sister, Barbara Womble and her husband Arlan of Lubbock, Texas; one brother, Rodney Chris Longacre and his wife Glenda of Frederick; a special friend, Donna Mazar of Everett, Washington; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded by his parents; Rodney & Elnora Longacre; brother and sister-in-law: Gary & Barbara Longacre; and a one great-niece. Jackson Funeral Home 580-335-7447
