Funeral service for Steve Prefontaine Stevenson, age 37, of Tipton will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 12, 2014 at Mount Gilead Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Logan officiating. Burial will follow in the Tipton Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Mr. Stevenson passed away on December 7, 2014 in Lawton. Pre was born on July 4, 1977 in Omaha, Nebraska to Frame D. Ross and Barbara Jean Stevenson. He attended school in Tipton and graduated from Tipton High School in 1995. He worked as a farm laborer and was a member of Mount Gilead Baptist Church. He is survived by father, Frame Ross of Lima, Ohio; two sister, Kelly Merriweather of Lawton and Barbara Lynn Ross of Virginia; his aunts and uncles, Joyce Hill of Oklahoma City, Diane Dorsey of Tipton, Dorothy Richardson of Lawton, Ida Blackmon and husband Perly of Tipton, Pearly Mae Paterson of Washington, D. C., Judy Hairston and husband Everett of Fort Worth, Texas, Kenneth Stevenson and wife Ruth of Oklahoma City, Samuel Stevenson of Dallas, Texas, Frances Stevenson of Oklahoma City, Terry Elkins of Frederick, Pat Evaige-Nolan of Frederick, Sherrell Elkins of Oklahoma City, Brenda McCamury and husband Tracy of Junction City, Kansas and Michael Ross of San Diego, California; and a host of cousins, other family members and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leonard and Lue Eva Stevenson and Robbie Lee Elkins; his mother Barbara Stevenson Beane; and three uncle, Jackie Stevenson, Cecil Conner and Jerry Don Elkins.
