Graveside service for Vera V. Brown age 94, of Frederick will be at 2:30 p.m., Friday, March 18, 2016, at Frederick Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Les Banks officiating.  Burial will follow under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home.  Mrs. Brown passed away Tuesday evening, March 15, 2016, at the Memorial Nursing Center in Frederick.

Vera Veona (Lawson) Brown was born January 1, 1922 in Frederick, Oklahoma to William Henry and Minnie C. (Mehl) Lawson.  She attended Glendale School northeast of Manitou.  On October 26, 1940, she and Lloyd Warren Brown were united in marriage in Frederick.  Mr. Brown preceded her in death on February 16, 1999.  She and her husband owned and operated Brown's Garage in Frederick for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Max Brown and his wife Elva Lynn of Frederick and Anson Brown of Frederick; one granddaughter, Lori Janda and her husband Clint of Elgin; and two great-grandchildren, Logan and Cade Janda.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two brothers, Carl and Billy Lawson.
