Funeral service for Vernell Brown age 80, of Frederick will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 7, 2014, at the First Baptist Missionary Church with Rev. Lloyd Logan officiating. Burial will follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home. Mr. Brown passed away Monday, November 3, 2014, in a Lawton hospital. Vernell Brown was born November 23, 1933, in Frankston, Texas to Leon and Sallie Mae (Thomas) Brown. He attended school in Frankston and later served in the United States Army. On April 24, 1970, he and Earndean Harrison were united in marriage in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was a member of the First Baptist Missionary Church. He is survived by his wife, Earndean Brown of the home; one son, Nathaniel Edward Harrison and his wife Leah of Vallejo, California; one sister, Willie Esther Rockmore of DeSoto, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Kathy Mae Porter, Maxine Huffman, Doris Rhoads and LaJean Harrison; and two brothers, Frank and Nelson Brown. Jackson Funeral Home 923 W.
