Funeral mass for Vicente Diaz Lemus, age 89, of Apache, Oklahoma, former Frederick resident, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2025, at St. Helen Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Joseph David, pastor, officiating.

Mr. Diaz passed away early Friday morning June 6, 2025, at his home in Apache. Christian burial will be at the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home, of Frederick.

A rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. Sunday evening June 8, at the funeral home.

He was born September 26, 1935, in Chalchihuites, Zacatecas, Mexico, to Maximiliano Diaz Lemus and Paula Lemus Nunes. He was united in marriage to Elvira Nava Bermudez in Durango, Durango, Mexico. She preceded him in death on November 11, 2018. Vicente was a doctor of mechanics. He worked in Monterrey, Mexico. He was a diesel motor mechanic, specializing in Cummins, Perkins, International, and Caterpillar engines. He enjoyed racing cars. He was catholic.

Son: Guillermo Díaz (Irma Díaz), granddaughters: Mariana Díaz, Fergie Díaz, grandson: Guillermo Alexis Díaz, great granddaughters: Xol, Abigai;
