Funeral service for Voye Lynne Stone, age 85, of Frederick, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Art Barker officiating. Mrs. Stone passed away Sunday morning, April 19, 2026, at Willow Park Health Care Center in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Voye Lynne Stone was born on April 17, 1941, in Grandfield, Oklahoma, to Clint Voy and Mattie Evelyn (Averyt) Wynn. She attended Hollister Public Schools, graduating with the Class of 1959. Voye Lynne was united in marriage to Don Dail Stone on December 19, 1964, in Hollister, Oklahoma. They had two beautiful daughters, Melinda and Tari. When the girls were young, they all loved working together on their 4-H projects and she supported them in all their numerous school activities. Voye Lynne attended Oklahoma University School of Nursing where she became a registered nurse. While working at the Heath Department she attended the University of Texas at S.W. Medical Center Parklane at Dallas, Texas where she received her Nurse Practitioner Degree in 1990. She later received a Masters in Community Health & Education (ARNP) from the University of Oklahoma in 1996. She worked for the Tillman County Health Department for 25 years, retiring in 2009. Voye Lynne loved caring for people, it didn’t matter who, whether it was friends, family or a total stranger. She was always willing to lend a hand. She was more than just a friend, Voye Lynne was a shepherd for her community, whether she was nurturing a neighbor or guiding her family. She found her joy in putting others before herself. One of her favorite hobbies was traveling and seeing all the wonderful sites. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Voye Lynne is survived by two daughters: Melinda Phelps and her husband Brent of Valley View, Texas and Tari Espinosa and her husband Jimmy of Frederick, Oklahoma; one sister: Charlotte Barker of McAlester, Oklahoma; three brothers: Clint Wynn and wife Suzanne, James Wynn, and Mike Wynn and wife Julie all of Frederick; three granddaughters: Dr. Morgan Phelps of Franklin, North Carolina, Bree Phelps of Frederick, Oklahoma and Matti Espinosa of Stillwater, Oklahoma; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Don Stone; her parents: Voy and Evelyn Wynn; one brother: Dale Wynn; two nephews: Craig Barker and Tobin Wynn; and one niece: Lynne Strickland.
