Funeral service for former Frederick resident Wilfred Windall Allen age 72, of Tyler, Texas, will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 20, 2019, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel, 921 W. Gladstone Ave., Frederick, Oklahoma with Rev. Lloyd Logan officiating. Burial will follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home. Mr. Allen passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2019, in Tyler, Texas.

Wilfred Windall Allen was born May 6, 1947, in Jacksonville, Texas to George W. and Frankie Mae (Herndon) Allen. He attended Boyd High School in Frederick, Oklahoma. He worked for many years for Johnson & Johnson Manufacturing Company in Lubbock, Texas. He loved to travel and had visited 48 states in the continental United States. He was a Baptist.

He is survived by five sons, Dana Pride of Oklahoma City, OK, Darrel Cowan of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Gerry Cowan of Las Vegas, Nevada, Frederick Allen of Austin, Texas and David Allen of Lubbock, Texas; two daughters, Shannon Allen of Austin, Texas, and Rhonda Allen of Dallas, Texas; one brother, Lee James Allen of Bullet, Texas; one sister, Merry Buckles of Tyler, Texas; eleven grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Allen, Sr.; his mother, Frankie Allen Burns; and one brother, George Allen, Jr.

The family would like to acknowledge Ray at Heart to Heart Hospice in Tyler, Texas and a special caregiver, Emanuel Robinson of Shreveport, Louisiana for their many acts of kindness.
